7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Steve Wattson! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Adama tries to clinch up but Wattson circles away and keeps his distance. Adama has taken the fight to the clinch.
Adama escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wattson drives through with a takedown into guard. Wattson works a leg free and moves into half guard. Wattson is looking for a kimura but Adama is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Wattson to get the leverage. Wattson seems to be looking for submissions.

Adama decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Adama feints and as Wattson raises his hands in defense, Adama changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Adama stands up from Wattson's guard - Adama perhaps looking for a knockout. Wattson fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Lee Adama is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Adama fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wattson sprawls well initially but Adama persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wattson works his way to full guard. Good work. Adama stands up and waves to Wattson to follow him. Adama doesn't succeed with the takedown and Wattson counters with a single leg into guard. Steve Wattson really dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Adama gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Adama had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Wattson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Adama Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Wattson's back instead. Adama lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Adama.

Wattson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Adama swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wattson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Adama is looking to sinch up a triangle. Wattson throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Adama's body to avoid the submission. Adama has instead reached around Wattson's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Adama arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
