Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Valentin Hadjiev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kagen Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Valentin Hadjiev! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kagen Knight! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hadjiev shoots in looking for a takedown but Knight manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hadjiev's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Hadjiev shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Knight but Knight pushes him off and we're back to square one. Hadjiev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Knight tries to avoid it but Hadjiev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Knight to the ground. Knight escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Valentin Hadjiev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hadjiev walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
It looks like Valentin Hadjiev has been cut. Knight dips to his left and cracks Hadjiev with an uppercut! Knight connects with a single shot there. Knight shoots and misses and Hadjiev counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Knight looking for a guillotine here but Hadjiev defends easily.
We've been hearing that Hadjiev has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Hadjiev missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Knight is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knight looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hadjiev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Knight swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hadjiev working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hadjiev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Knight tries to land a sweep but no joy. Knight preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Hadjiev won't allow Knight to sweep him here. Hadjiev is working Knight over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Knight is adopting a defensive guard. Knight controls Hadjiev momentarily but Hadjiev frees himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Knight is looking for a triangle here but Hadjiev uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Knight wants to control but Hadjiev postures up. Hadjiev landing strikes. Knight is looking to reverse the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Knight defending against the ground and pound. Hadjiev working away. Knight is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Knight tries to control but Hadjiev manages to take his back. Knight rolls, trying to escape but Hadjiev keeps control of the position.
Hadjiev misses with a punch to the head. Knight manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hadjiev's guard. Nice work there by Knight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Knight forces his way into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hadjiev avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Knight. Knight wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hadjiev keeps working. Hadjiev tries to kick Knight off but Knight keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Knight seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Hadjiev wants to get back to his feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Knight working over Hadjiev with some ground and pound. Hadjiev looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Hadjiev on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Ground and pound from Knight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kagen Knight will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Valentin Hadjiev's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hadjiev throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Knight's waist but Knight gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hadjiev off to one side. Hadjiev shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Knight is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hadjiev defends well. Knight wants to sweep here but Hadjiev controlling him for the moment. Hadjiev is looking to work some ground and pound but Knight has wrist control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Knight not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Knight holds on and takes a little breather. Hadjiev throwing strikes from guard but Knight blocks nicely. The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Valentin Hadjiev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Knight changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hadjiev is defended easily by Knight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hadjiev fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Valentin Hadjiev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hadjiev walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Hadjiev on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Knight has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Hadjiev is landing a low percentage of strikes. Knight lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Knight lands with a hook. Hadjiev tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Knight lands a nice looking body shot.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Knight scores with a nice right hand.
Knight shoots for a double leg takedown but Hadjiev sprawls well. He's pushed Knight's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hadjiev will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hadjiev shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Knight defends it nicely. Knight feints the counter takedown. Knight clinches with his opponent.
Knight lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Hadjiev goes for a takedown in the clinch but Knight prevents it.
Still in the clinch, Knight scores with a nice short uppercut. Knight pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hadjiev takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Knight connects with a looping right hand.
Hadjiev is rocked! Knight cracks Hadjiev on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Hadjiev falls backwards against the cage. Knight follows up with more strikes that drop Hadjiev to his knees. Knight keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Hadjiev! This one is all over!
