The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blake misses with a double jab
and Diggs cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
It looks like Philip Blake has been cut.
Blake misses with a left hand
and Diggs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Blake throws a hook to the side of Diggs's head but Diggs sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Blake thuds a left hand into Diggs's body.
A decent looking cross lands there for Blake.
It looks like Alonzo Diggs has been cut.
Blake wants to clinch
and Diggs counters with a low kick, right behind Blake 's knee.
Blake lands the left hand.
Blake throws a poor cross that misses
and Diggs counters with an outside leg kick.
Blake scores with a crisp jab that stopped Diggs in his tracks.

Blake moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Diggs with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Blake to score with a decent uppercut.

Blake looks to land a combination but Diggs avoids it well.
Blake's jab looks to have found its range, popping Diggs under the eye.
Diggs connects with a right hand. Blake shakes it off.
Diggs throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Blake was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Diggs looks to throw the jab but Blake is out of range.
Blake throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Blake is looking to chop away at Diggs's legs.

Blake throws a looping overhand right but Diggs ducks down to avoid it.

Blake fails with an attempt to clinch.
Blake tries to clinch but Diggs is having none of it.
Diggs swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
The fighters circling - Blake throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Blake bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Diggs's head.

Blake moves to clinch but Diggs breaks away
and Diggs counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Blake is looking to land body kicks.
Diggs throws out a counter right but Blake avoids it with no problem.
Blake pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
A jab from Blake misses.
Diggs looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Philip Blake seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blake throws out a loose jab but Diggs uses good head movement to avoid it.
Blake wants to clinch up but Diggs keeps it at a distance.
Blake misses with a lunging right hand
and Diggs connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Diggs throws a hook but Blake blocks it.
Blake lands with a hook. Diggs tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Blake moves in looking to clinch but Diggs pushes him off.
Blake wants to clinch
and Diggs counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Blake off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Diggs follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Blake was out before he hit the floor.
