Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Solomon Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Denton Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carver comes to the cage accompanied by Jay Z - Run this Town (Broken Halo Remix). Jackson has chosen wolf pack as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Solomon Carver!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Denton Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Solomon Carver has been cut.
A big right from Jackson misses.
Jackson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Carver moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Carver just misses with a punch to the body.
Jackson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Carver.
Jackson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Carver slips under a jab.
Carver with a jab.
Jackson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jackson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Carver is looking to chop away at Jackson's legs.
Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Carver moves away.
Carver lands with a shot to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carver swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Jackson counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Jackson connects with a couple of short punches.
Jackson postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Carver keeps moving.
Jackson won't allow Carver to sweep him here.
Jackson throwing strikes but missing.
Jackson throws a strike but Carver rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jackson being controlled here, momentarily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carver is looking to stand up but Jackson won't let him.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jackson is on top in guard.
Jackson with a flurry of punches that miss.
Jackson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carver is keeping the position for now.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Carver can't keep his opponent in guard - Jackson advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Carver wants to improve his position but Jackson is controlling well.
Jackson working over Carver with some ground and pound. Carver looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Carver moves into full guard.
Carver utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Carver is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Carver looking for a sweep. Not yet Carver, not yet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jackson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Carver's head.
Carver avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jackson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Jackson throws a strike but Carver rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Carver stands and steps away. Jackson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Carver swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Jackson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A low kick from Carver misses
and Jackson counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Carver swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Jackson to counter with a crisp jab.
Carver is breathing heavily.
Jackson swings for the body but Carver moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Denton Jackson dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Solomon Carver's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jackson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carver.
Jackson takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Carver throws a predictable looking body shot
and Jackson counters with a straight right hand.
Carver misses with a straight right.
Denton Jackson seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Carver misses with a leg kick
and Carver takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


Carver is rocked!

Jackson shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Carver is on queer street and Jackson is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Denton Jackson!
