Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Torsti Monivamma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John The Pitbull (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monivamma comes to the cage accompanied by Dropkick Murphys: I'm shipping up to Boston. The Pitbull has chosen Biggie Smalls - Juicy as his entrance music. Torsti Monivamma has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monivamma shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in The Pitbull's guard.
Monivamma is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Monivamma has gone for a leg lock! The Pitbull slips out almost immediately though and dives into Monivamma's guard.
Monivamma has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. The Pitbull is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Monivamma.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Monivamma throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around The Pitbull's waist but The Pitbull gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Monivamma off to one side.
Nice takedown defense from The Pitbull. No joy for Monivamma on that attempt.
The Pitbull scores with a sloppy right hand. Monivamma should have avoided that one.

Horrible takedown by Monivamma or perhaps it was just good defense by The Pitbull which made him look bad.

The Pitbull steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Monivamma is out on his feet! The Pitbull sets himself and nearly takes Monivamma's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
