Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shotgun Trua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocherre Velassco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velassco looks to score with a jab to the body but Trua is just out of range.
As Velassco looks to move away, Trua throws a big counter combo bu Velassco just gets out of the way.
Velassco takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Trua looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Velassco tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Trua was well out of range. Poor timing from Velassco.
Velassco moves away from the strike by Trua.
Velassco lands with an overhand left.
Velassco moves out of range of the body kick from Trua.
Trua looks for the body kick but Velassco saw that one coming.
Trua tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Velassco is able to avoid easily.

and Velassco counters with a low kick, right behind Trua 's knee.
Oh Trua is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Velassco rushes Trua and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Velassco prevents a body shot from Trua.
Velassco has Trua pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Trua is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Velassco - that's hurt Trua badly! Oh, another knee lands and Trua is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Trua doesn't seem to be complaining.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Rocherre Velassco!
During a confident post fight interview, Rocherre Velassco thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
