Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Roland Fredriksson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuya Inoue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roland Fredriksson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
27 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yuya Inoue! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fredriksson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Inoue. Fredriksson cracks the inside of Inoue's front leg. Inoue lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
It looks like Roland Fredriksson has been cut. Fredriksson throws a nice outside leg kick. Fredriksson scores with a jab to the head.
Fredriksson cracks Inoue with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Fredriksson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Inoue moves away. Inoue shoots in and drives through. Fredriksson sprawls well. It looked like Fredriksson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. The fighters circling - Fredriksson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A telegraphed right hand from Fredriksson misses the target. Inoue shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fredriksson as he avoids it easily. No luck for Inoue with that takedown attempt. Roland Fredriksson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yuya Inoue. Inoue avoids a lazy jab quite easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Fredriksson throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Inoue's head. Inoue moves into range and clinches up with Fredriksson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Inoue blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Inoue goes for a takedown attempt but Fredriksson pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Fredriksson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Roland Fredriksson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Inoue tries a head kick but it misses.
An attempted straight right counter from Fredriksson misses the target. Inoue shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Inoue showed some decent athleticism there. Inoue is looking to advance position but Fredriksson won't allow it. Inoue is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Fredriksson is looking to improve his position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fredriksson is defending against the submission attempts here by Inoue.
Inoue seems to be working for a kimura but Fredriksson defends the submission attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Inoue is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Inoue works his way into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Inoue trying to control the position but Fredriksson is working away. Fredriksson being controlled for a moment. Inoue working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Inoue sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Fredriksson is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Inoue is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Fredriksson is trying to escape and Inoue transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Fredriksson is forced to tap! Nice work there by Inoue! Very nice indeed!
