PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Greiner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georgy Fokin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Greiner comes to the cage accompanied by August Burns Red - Spirit Breaker. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Greiner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Georgy Fokin!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fokin scores with a crisp jab that stopped Greiner in his tracks.
Greiner lands with an uppercut that bounces Fokin off the cage and back into range.
Greiner will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Greiner takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Greiner tries to bum rush Fokin with a series of wild strikes but Fokin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Greiner walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Fokin checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Greiner lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Greiner's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fokin tries to bum rush Greiner with a series of wild strikes but Greiner uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Greiner went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Greiner lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Fokin has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Fokin and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Fokin shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Greiner manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
