Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phoenix Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phoenix Wright has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rocky Balboa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Phoenix Wright! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wright scores with a punch to the head. Wright is looking to score with low kicks. Wright throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Wright takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Balboa looks to land a combination but Wright avoids it well. Balboa moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
It looks like Phoenix Wright has been cut. Wright throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Balboa sees it coming and avoids it easily. Balboa scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Wright tries to clinch but Balboa is having none of it. Wright throws a half hearted mid kick. Balboa throws out a powerful jab. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Wright has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. This has been an exciting period of action! No joy there for Balboa, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wright tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Wright misses with the body kick and Balboa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Wright doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Balboa moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Balboa misses with a double jab.
Wright feints and then cracks Balboa's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Balboa down. Wright ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Balboa moves away. A counter left hand to the body from Balboa misses its target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wright tries to land a leg kick but Balboa saw it coming and moves away.
Wright avoids a punch combination nicely.

Balboa connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Sloppy strikes from Balboa. Those never looked like landing. Sloppy strikes from Balboa. Those never looked like landing. Balboa avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Balboa closes the distance and pushes Wright back into the cage. Wright has Balboa pressed against the cage.
Wright jumps guard and drags Balboa to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Wright has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Balboa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Wright not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wright looking for a guillotine here but Balboa defends easily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Balboa is looking to stand up but Wright won't let him. Balboa looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Wright is trying to keep Balboa in close.
Wright looking for a sweep. Not yet Wright, not yet. Wright manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Balboa manages to get himself to full guard.
Wright slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Balboa is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Wright has hold of Balboa's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Balboa seems comfortable defending it but Wright has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Balboa is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Balboa is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Wright couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Phoenix Wright! An out of breath Phoenix Wright thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
