The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wani misses with a body kick.
Wani bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Jackson's head.
Wani lands an overhand right.
Jackson cracks a nice hook into Wani's ribs.
Wani turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Wani throws a half hearted mid kick.
Wani throws a hook but Jackson avoids it easily.
Wani slips under a jab from Jackson.
John Paul Wani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wani.
Wani slips a jab from Jackson.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wani jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Jackson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Wani eats them both and turns towards Jackson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like John Paul Wani has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jackson connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Wani moves forwards but Jackson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Wani is rocked!

A swing and a miss from Wani.
Oh Wani is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wani throws a body kick that misses.
It's a brutal combination of punches from Jackson! Wani is backing up but he can't get away as Jackson lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Wani and ends the fight. Great knockout.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jamal Jackson!
