Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kazimir Evgeni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lamar Jonhson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evgeni kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Lad's Heart. Kazimir Evgeni has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kazimir Evgeni! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lamar Jonhson! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Evgeni ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Jonhson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Evgeni seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Evgeni throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jonhson works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Jonhson controls Evgeni momentarily but Evgeni frees himself. Jonhson wants to stand but Evgeni is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Evgeni won't allow Jonhson to sweep him here. Jonhson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Evgeni is controlling him. Evgeni trying to control but Jonhson is working from the bottom.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jonhson tries to clinch up. Evgeni tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. No luck with that takedown attempt from Jonhson. Jonhson fails to land the takedown. Evgeni wants to slow Jonhson down by chopping away at his legs. Evgeni shoots in and bounces Jonhson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Jonhson trying to strike off his back.
Evgeni tries to free his leg and advance position but Jonhson is retaining full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jonhson is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Evgeni defends well. Evgeni looking to pass the guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Evgeni trying to control but Jonhson is working from the bottom. Evgeni has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Evgeni throwing strikes but missing. Evgeni slips nicely into half guard. Evgeni is looking to take a break and control but Jonhson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Evgeni tries to pass to full mount but Jonhson defends it. Jonhson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Evgeni. Evgeni looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jonhson looking for submissions off his back. Evgeni is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Evgeni seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jonhson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Evgeni dodges the punch combination from Jonhson.
Evgeni lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jonhson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Evgeni swivels and escapes. Kazimir Evgeni has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lamar Jonhson. Evgeni drops Jonhson with a left right combo! Evgeni follows him down to the ground into side control.
Jonhson is rocked! Evgeni in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Jonhson is still in real trouble! Can Evgeni finish him? Jonhson takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Jonhson looks winded! Jonhson defending against the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kazimir Evgeni dominated that round. That's time! Evgeni's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Evgeni jabs Jonhson right on the nose. Jonhson blinks but takes it well. Jonhson seems to have recovered his senses. Evgeni stuffs the takedown. Evgeni throws a big counter combination but Jonhson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Evgeni waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract Jonhson. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Jonhson to the canvas! Can he finish him!?

Evgeni sitting in guard, not really doing much. Evgeni missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Evgeni scoring with punches to the head and body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Evgeni showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Kazimir Evgeni overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Evgeni trying to control the position from guard on top but Jonhson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Evgeni drops back looking for a leg! Jonhson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jonhson manages to kick Evgeni off! Evgeni jumps back into Jonhson's guard. Jonhson has his foot on Evgeni's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Evgeni works his way back into a safe position though. Jonhson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Evgeni is aware though and is defending well. Jonhson is breathing heavily. Jonhson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Evgeni throws a left that rocks Jonhson and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Evgeni dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Jonhson regain composure!
It looks like Lamar Jonhson has been cut. Evgeni tries to score with some ground and pound. Jonhson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Jonhson is not content to let Evgeni control the position. Evgeni connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Jonhson some visible discomfort.
Jonhson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jonhson struggling a bit here. Evgeni is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jonhson has escaped the position, nice work there. Evgeni is trying to get an arm triangle but Jonhson is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jonhson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Evgeni throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Evgeni lands a decent elbow from side control. Evgeni decides to stand back up. Evgeni steps back and let's Jonhson get back to his feet. Evgeni throws a one two combo.
Evgeni wants to land a leg kick but Jonhson is out of range. Evgeni shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jonhson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Evgeni scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Jonhson to see if he's OK. Evgeni decides to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jonhson goes for a double leg but Evgeni avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Evgeni continues to drive forward. Evgeni shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Evgeni was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jonhson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Evgeni is controlling him well. Evgeni creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Evgeni has an Americana. Jonhson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Evgeni is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Evgeni hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Kazimir Evgeni! As Kazimir Evgeni got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: What bulldog? That was too easy. He was talking shit about beating me so too bad! '.
