Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tane Huia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phoenix Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tane Huia!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Phoenix Wright!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huia throws a jab but it's blocked by Wright.
Huia misses with a looping right.
Wright shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wright was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Wright remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Huia tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Wright has an Americana. Huia didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Wright is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Wright hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Phoenix Wright!
Phoenix Wright decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
