Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ron Burgundy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georgy Fokin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ron Burgundy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Georgy Fokin!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Burgundy finds it's way through Fokin's defenses.


It looks like Georgy Fokin has been cut.
Burgundy throws a lazy right hand but Fokin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Fokin feints the counter takedown.
Fokin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Burgundy stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Burgundy fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Fokin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Burgundy takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Burgundy scores with a head kick. Fokin tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Burgundy connects with a leg kick. Fokin looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A right-left combo lands from Fokin.


It looks like Ron Burgundy has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Burgundy tries to clinch up

so Fokin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fokin keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Burgundy's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've been hearing good reports from Burgundy's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Fokin is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Burgundy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fokin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Burgundy is looking to improve his position but Fokin isn't that keen on the idea.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fokin cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Georgy Fokin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Burgundy swings for the body but Fokin moves out of range.
Fokin throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Burgundy misses with a low kick.
Burgundy looks to land a combination but Fokin avoids it well.
And Fokin tries to counter it with a takedown but Burgundy pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Burgundy avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Fokin, as that shot connected.
Burgundy walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Burgundy misses with a few strikes there.
A good leg kick by Burgundy.
Fokin scores with a jab.
A decent looking cross lands there for Fokin.
Georgy Fokin seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Burgundy takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fokin paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.


Burgundy is rocked!
Fokin lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Burgundy falls backwards - clearly groggy! Fokin dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Georgy Fokin!
