Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rob Callard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Osgar Ragnvaldr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Osgar Ragnvaldr enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rob Callard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Osgar Ragnvaldr! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Callard throws a sloppy head kick and Ragnvaldr moves out of range easily. Ragnvaldr lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Callard at a distance.
Ragnvaldr closes the distance and clinches up with Callard, looking for a takedown. Ragnvaldr pushes Callard against the cage but Callard circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Callard tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Ragnvaldr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

A left lands for Callard. Ragnvaldr throws a predictable looking body shot
and Callard counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Ragnvaldr on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Ragnvaldr throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Callard counter with a right hand. The crowd cheers as Callard lands an impressive looking overhand right. Ragnvaldr doesn't seem phased though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Callard lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's one minute gone in the round. Callard jabbing away but nothing is landing. A head kick misses from Callard. Ragnvaldr fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Ragnvaldr chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Callard can pounce on him.
Callard works the jab nicely. Callard throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ragnvaldr tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Ragnvaldr moves out of range as Callard strikes. Callard dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Callard throws the kick towards the body but Ragnvaldr avoids it. Ragnvaldr looks to land a body kick but Callard moved away. Ragnvaldr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Callard takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Ragnvaldr keeps Callard at a distance using the push kick. Callard takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ragnvaldr swings and misses with a shot to the body and Callard counters with a stiff right hand. A shot to the liver by Ragnvaldr. Beautiful body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Callard gets caught flat footed, as Ragnvaldr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Callard is trying to keep Ragnvaldr in close.
Ragnvaldr throwing strikes but missing. Ragnvaldr trying to control the position from guard on top but Callard is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ragnvaldr tries to free his leg and advance position but Callard is retaining full guard. Callard lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Ragnvaldr looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Callard puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Callard throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Ragnvaldr actively working from the bottom here. Callard is figuring out what he wants to do next. Ragnvaldr is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Callard scores with a couple of nice shots. Callard slips a nice elbow through Ragnvaldr's hands, connecting with Ragnvaldr's forehead. Callard lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Ragnvaldr quite badly. Ragnvaldr pulls Callard in close trying to recover. Callard postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Ragnvaldr on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Ragnvaldr doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rob Callard! Rob Callard decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
