Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between William Blake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vincent Oketch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blake's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Dead Man. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William Blake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vincent Oketch!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Alec Ball.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Oketch is predictable there

and Blake counters with a single leg into guard. Oketch didn't expect that.

Blake is pushing down on Oketch's leg trying to pass to half guard. Oketch is fighting to maintain full guard but Blake has managed to sneak the leg through.
Oketch wants to get back to full guard.

Oketch is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Blake pulls his head out easily.
Blake perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Oketch is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Blake scores with a couple of nice shots.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oketch is looking for a sweep. Blake is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Blake is working for a kimura but Oketch is defending it quite comfortably.

Oketch is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Blake's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Blake's back!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

A head kick from Oketch lands but Blake takes it in his stride.
Blake has been working on his balance at Slaughterhouse MMA, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Oketch.

and Blake counters with a shoot takedown. Oketch fights it but they end up in guard.
Oketch manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Blake manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that William Blake will probably get the nod.

Blake has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

William Blake showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Blake, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
