Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Noah McAdoo! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Omar Little! The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Little scores with a spinning back kick! Little has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Little throws a leg kick which misses McAdoo's front leg but catches the back leg as McAdoo tries to avoid it. Little chopping away at his opponent's legs.
McAdoo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. A low kick from Little misses and McAdoo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Little won't be happy with that. Little is looking to reverse the position. McAdoo advances nicely into full mount. McAdoo controlling from mount. McAdoo trying to control but he's not successful this time. Little is looking to improve his position but McAdoo isn't that keen on the idea. Little tries to improve his position but instead McAdoo has taken his back! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McAdoo controlling well, preventing Little from escaping the position.
Little looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. I would not like to be Little right now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Little tries to roll but McAdoo sticks to his back.
McAdoo has managed to slip his arm under Little's chin. This could be all over... yep, Little is tapping out! Submission win for McAdoo.
