Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dee Stroya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velasquez comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Accept's Balls To The Wall kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stroya throws a body punch but Velasquez moves out of range.
Velasquez takes one on the button.

It looks like Juan Velasquez has been cut.
That kick from Stroya tenderised Velasquez's leg. Velasquez is trying to keep his angry face on.
Velasquez throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
No joy there for Stroya, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stroya moves out of range as Velasquez strikes.
Stroya misses with a hook. Velasquez ducked under it nicely.
Stroya steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Velasquez.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Stroya has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Stroya and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Velasquez! Stroya is out on his feet! Velasquez rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Stroya is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Stroya is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
