Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanton Crowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harold Shipman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Crowe comes into the arena with The Builders & The Butchers - Bringing Home The Rain blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Shipman's choice of entrance music: The man that you FEAR . Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
28 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stanton Crowe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
24 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Harold Shipman! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Crowe avoids the body shot from Shipman.
Crowe seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Shipman looks to land a body kick but Crowe moved away. Crowe slips under a jab. Shipman misses with a straight left. Shipman lands a front kick. Shipman doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Crowe throws a nice inside leg kick. Harold Shipman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shipman fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Crowe manages to avoid it. Shipman uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Crowe.

A looping hook to the body misses from Crowe. Shipman does a little dance to reset his feet. Crowe drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Crowe controlling from the top position. Shipman is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Crowe is aware though and is defending well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Shipman throws his legs up looking for a submission but Crowe uses it to pass to side control.

Shipman takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shipman is looking to reverse the position. Shipman struggling a bit here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shipman is not content to let Crowe control the position. Crowe remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Shipman sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well, if Crowe is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Shipman looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Shipman is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Crowe scores with a couple of nice shots. That's three minutes gone in the round. Shipman is still trying to improve position. Shipman is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Shipman wants to control but Crowe is keeping busy.
Crowe moves into full mount! Shipman won't be happy about that! Crowe has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Shipman's face.
Shipman is in all sorts of trouble here.
Crowe trying to control but Shipman is having none of it. Crowe unloading with bombs! Crowe lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shipman tries to lock up and control but Crowe gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Crowe lands with some strikes. Crowe scores with a couple of good head shots there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shipman tries to hold on but Crowe pushes him away. Shipman might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Crowe haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Crowe looking to finish Shipman with some ground and pound. This is bad for Shipman! BOOM! Crowe connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Crowe controlling the pace for now. The referee warns Shipman that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Shipman gets back to half guard. Crowe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Shipman's head. Shipman is looking to improve his position.

Stanton Crowe dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Crowe lands a right hook to the body.
Shipman drops his hands momentarily and Crowe takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Shipman swings for the body but Crowe moves out of range.
Crowe scores with the left hand. Shipman knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Harold Shipman has been cut. Shipman misses with an attempted mid kick.
Crowe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shipman is fending him off so far but Crowe persists. Nope, Shipman circles away and we're back to standing. Crowe jabs at Shipman's body. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Crowe lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Shipman has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Shipman and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Shipman delivers a nice body kick. Shipman throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Crowe misses with a low kick. Shipman tries a quick counter leg kick but Crowe is wise to it. Crowe lands a nice looking kick to the body. Shipman takes a step back to recover. Crowe is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shipman can do to turn this around? Crowe moves out of range as Shipman strikes. Shipman keeps the fight on the outside. Crowe feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Shipman's calf. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shipman finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Shipman looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Crowe takes a swing at Shipman's ribcage but misses. Crowe is looking to wear down Shipman with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shipman keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Crowe doesn't manage to clinch there - Shipman circles away.
Crowe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shipman was well out of range. Poor timing from Crowe. Crowe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Crowe throws a body punch but Shipman moves out of range. Crowe throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shipman stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Crowe throws a lazy head kick and Shipman counters with a nice leg kick. Shipman goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Shipman on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Crowe checks a leg kick. Crowe swings for the body but Shipman moves out of range.
Shipman feints the counter takedown. Crowe throws a quick inside leg kick. A right-left combo lands from Shipman.
It looks like Stanton Crowe has been cut. Shipman throws a body shot but no joy. Crowe lands a nice looking body shot.
Crowe avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A head kick from Shipman lands but Crowe takes it in his stride. Crowe ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Harold Shipman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crowe connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Shipman misses with the combination.
Crowe lands with an uppercut that bounces Shipman off the cage and back into range. Shipman has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. The crowd cheers as Crowe lands an impressive looking overhand right. Shipman doesn't seem phased though. Shipman connects with a leg kick. Crowe looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Crowe gets a clinch. Crowe throws a punch but it's blocked by Shipman. A short right hand to the side of the head by Crowe. Shipman is trying to break the clinch but Crowe has him pressed against the cage. Crowe digs a right hand into Shipman's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Shipman's gas tank. Crowe tries to work over Shipman's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Crowe pushes Shipman back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Shipman drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shipman can't break the clinch.
Crowe tries to throw a body punch but Shipman avoids it by throwing Crowe back against the cage. Shipman goes for a takedown in the clinch but Crowe prevents it.
Crowe prevents Shipman from breaking the clinch. Shipman wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Crowe has him pressed against the cage. Shipman blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Shipman has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Crowe stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Shipman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Shipman keeps the fight on the outside. Crowe throws a front kick that sends Shipman stumbling back into the cage. Shipman is breathing heavily. Shipman steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Crowe. That one must have hurt. Crowe bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Crowe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shipman keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shipman taking a bit of punishment here - Crowe scoring with strikes. You can see the frustration on Shipman's face as Crowe controls the position. Crowe landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shipman on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Shipman tries to buck Crowe off but Crowe is having none of it. Crowe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Shipman keeps working. Crowe taking a breather here. Crowe cracks Shipman with an elbow. That is naaassty. Crowe landing a few strikes. Shipman is looking to regain half guard here but Crowe keeps moving and retains side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stanton Crowe dominated that second round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Crowe throws a leg kick which misses Shipman's front leg but catches the back leg as Shipman tries to avoid it. Stanton Crowe is winning the standup battle so far. Shipman throws a front kick that sends Crowe stumbling back into the cage. Crowe takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Nice uppercut there from Shipman. Crowe throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Crowe cracks the inside of Shipman's front leg. Crowe pushes Shipman up against the cage in a clinch. Crowe has a couple of punches blocked by Shipman.
A frustrated look appears on Shipman's face as he tries to break the clinch. A head punch on the inside from Crowe fails to land. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Crowe creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Shipman pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Crowe blocks a head kick by Shipman.
Shipman throws a shot from downtown. Crowe moves away and avoids it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Crowe scores with a leg kick.
Crowe scores with a decent looking hook. Crowe throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Shipman tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Crowe is in Shipman's guard. Shipman is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Crowe dives into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shipman manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Shipman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Shipman not landing any meaningful shots this time. Crowe gets back to full guard.
Crowe has Shipman pulled in close to control his posture. Shipman trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Crowe manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Harold Shipman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crowe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Shipman's head. Shipman looking for a sweep. Not yet Shipman, not yet. Shipman is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Crowe stands up over Shipman, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Shipman holds on and takes a little breather. Crowe landing with the ground and pound. Crowe wants to control from the top but Shipman keeps moving. Shipman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Crowe's guard. Shipman engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Crowe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crowe winds up and cracks Shipman with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Crowe lands strikes from half guard. Shipman trying to control here.
Crowe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Shipman with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Shipman tries to roll over but Crowe keeps him under control. Shipman is trying to maintain the position but Crowe is very close to passing his half guard. Crowe landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Crowe uses his free foot to push down on Shipman's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Shipman.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shipman tries to hold on but Crowe postures up. Stanton Crowe is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Crowe looking to control but Shipman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Shipman is wriggling around trying to escape.
Crowe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Crowe putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Shipman tries to reverse the position but Crowe maintains control. Crowe landing strikes from the mount and Shipman is in trouble! Crowe looking to control but Shipman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Crowe takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Shipman is wriggling around trying to escape.

And that's the end of the fight! Stanton Crowe showed his dominance in that final round. Well Crowe has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Stanton Crowe! After the fight, Stanton Crowe was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
