Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Artem Irhin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arthur Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Artem Irhin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arthur Halo! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Halo takes one to the side of the head.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Halo. An attempted straight right counter from Irhin misses the target. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Halo checks a leg kick. Irhin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Irhin has been working on his boxing with his coaches at St Petersburg MMA Gym in the buildup to the fight. Halo blocks a head kick by Irhin.

Halo connects with a couple of short punches. Halo tries to free his leg and advance position but Irhin is retaining full guard. Irhin pulls Halo in close to prevent any damage. Halo connects with a couple of short punches. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Halo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Halo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Irhin has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Halo but great work by Irhin. Irhin decides to stand back up. Irhin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Halo. That did some damage! Halo shoots for a double leg takedown but Irhin sprawls well. He's pushed Halo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Irhin tries a head kick but it misses.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Halo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Irhin was covering up waiting for the punch and Halo finishes the takedown easily into guard. Halo working some strikes from top position. Halo scoring with punches to the head and body. Irhin wants to stand up but Halo is controlling him. Irhin looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Irhin looking for submissions from the bottom here. Arthur Halo dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Halo with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Irhin is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Halo defends well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Irhin is pressed up against the cage. Halo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Irhin down to the mat. Irhin avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Arthur Halo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The fighters circling - Irhin throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Halo is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Irhin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Halo's coach down at Canadian Dragon MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Halo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Halo drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Irhin defends it well. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Halo is defended easily by Irhin. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Halo uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Irhin. Irhin misses with a body shot.
