Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Islam Sulimani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Newton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sulimani's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Walla. Newton has chosen Destiny's Child - Bootylicious as his entrance music. Islam Sulimani has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sulimani fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Sulimani throws a solid leg kick but Newton takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Sulimani.

Sulimani lands a left and a right that send Newton crashing to the mat, dazed. Sulimani thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Sulimani drops Newton with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Newton looks back up at him and smiles so Sulimani waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Newton in particular looking to stall.

Let's hope that Newton has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Newton is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sulimani is just riding it out for now. Newton eventually gives up the hold.

Newton is working to tighten his grip on Sulimani's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Sulimani has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Newton is really squeezing tight and eventually Sulimani passes out! Newton breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
