Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Noritada Masaru!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Val Halla!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Halla. Masaru does a little dance to reset his feet.
Masaru loads up on a big right hand but Halla slips the punch.
Halla looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Halla's corner calls for a 1-2. Halla obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Noritada Masaru has been cut.
Masaru definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Masaru looks to land a combination but Halla avoids it well.
Masaru cracks Halla with an open hand slap.
Masaru throws a sloppy head kick
and Halla counters with a left to the body.
Masaru is breathing heavily.
Halla fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Masaru manages to avoid it.
Masaru tries to close the distance and clinch but Halla swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Masaru rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Halla moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Masaru swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Halla throws an overhand right that drops Masaru like a sack of potatoes! Halla dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Val Halla!
