Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Root Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piripi Tama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tama has chosen Somewhere over the rainbow as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Root Paul!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Piripi Tama!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tama is looking to clinch but Paul is avoiding it.
Tama throws a low kick, looking for Paul's leg but Paul calmly moves out of range.
Paul throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tama counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Root Paul has been cut.
Paul drives through with a takedown into Tama's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Paul with a flurry of punches that miss.
Paul's corner is telling him to maintain position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Paul stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tama swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Paul has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Tama to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Paul is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Tama pulls down on the head and he's put Paul to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Piripi Tama!
