Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Maksim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Barrol (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Maksim might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to RUSSIA ANTHEM. Barrol has chosen Christ Conscious as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Santiago Holmes and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrol moves into the clinch successfully.
Barrol escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Barrol shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Maksim defends it nicely.
Maksim is looking to counter the offense by Barrol and move into the clinch.
Barrol throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Maksim was covering up waiting for the punch and Barrol finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Barrol is sitting in close to Maksim's body. Maksim has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Barrol is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Barrol is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Maksim.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ivan Maksim!
Ivan Maksim tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
In defeat, Tyler Barrol stepped up to the mic, saying 'Bullshit fluke! '.
