Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Aldous Wensleydale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Glass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George Glass will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Aldous Wensleydale!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, George Glass!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wensleydale drives through and clinches with Glass against the cage.
With the fighters up against the cage, Wensleydale throws an elbow but misses.
Wensleydale has Glass pressed against the cage, preventing Glass from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Wensleydale definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Glass tries a knee to the head but Wensleydale blocks it.

Glass's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Glass has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Wensleydale is landing a low percentage of strikes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Glass keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice straight punches there by Glass. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Glass.
Wensleydale is looking to clinch.
Glass is looking for the big counter here.

and Wensleydale counters with a shoot takedown. Glass fights it but they end up in guard.
Wensleydale is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Wensleydale seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Glass for as long as he can get away with.

That was a close round but I would say that Aldous Wensleydale will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

George Glass seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Glass will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Glass can do anything to dispel that myth.

Wensleydale drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wensleydale jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Glass is looking to stand up but Wensleydale isn't so interested in that idea.

George Glass showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Wensleydale's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Wensleydale is trying hard to land a takedown here. Glass sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Wensleydale changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Glass looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Wensleydale in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Glass looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Wensleydale turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

During a confident post fight interview, Aldous Wensleydale thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
