Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Kanitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Radev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon Kanitz has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Kanitz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Nikolai Radev! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Andrew Berry and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kanitz clinches. Radev blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Radev misses with a hook to the ribs.
Kanitz misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A short body shot lands from Kanitz as the two fighters clinch.
Kanitz tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Kanitz lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Radev misses with a punch on the inside.
Radev stalling the fight.
Kanitz scores with a shot to the side of Radev's head. Kanitz tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. A head punch on the inside from Kanitz fails to land. Radev gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Kanitz regains guard.
Kanitz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Radev trying to control the position from guard on top but Kanitz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kanitz has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Kanitz wants to sweep but no luck. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Radev stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kanitz swivels though and keeps the full guard. Radev missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Radev has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Radev trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Radev in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Radev is working Kanitz over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Kanitz pulls Radev in to control the position. Kanitz keeping moving, preventing Radev from controlling successfully.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Radev uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kanitz. A looping hook to the body misses from Kanitz. Radev does a little dance to reset his feet. Radev appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Radev throws a leg kick which misses Kanitz's front leg but catches the back leg as Kanitz tries to avoid it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Radev drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kanitz explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Radev throws a body shot but no joy. Kanitz scores with a jab to the head.

It appears Kanitz was looking to counter with a kick there. Radev throws a lazy head kick and Kanitz counters with a slapping leg kick. Radev looks to throw the jab but Kanitz is out of range. Kanitz takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Radev misses with a hook. A thudding body kick lands there by Kanitz!
Radev clobbers Kanitz with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Radev lands a nice shot to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kanitz waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Radev. Kanitz lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. That kick from Radev tenderised Kanitz's leg. Kanitz is trying to keep his angry face on. Radev feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kanitz's calf. Kanitz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Radev sees it coming and avoids it easily. Simon Kanitz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kanitz lands with a kick to the ribs.
Kanitz throws a front kick aimed at Radev's knee but Radev avoids it well. Kanitz misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Radev.
Radev tries to counter with a clinch but Kanitz shakes him off and moves away. Kanitz moves out of range of the leg kick from Radev. Radev takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Radev uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kanitz. Radev looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Radev has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kanitz. Kanitz connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. This has been an exciting period of action! Kanitz misses with a looping left.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Radev goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Kanitz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A big right from Radev misses. Radev takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Kanitz keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Kanitz fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Radev checks it well. Nice body kick from Kanitz. Kanitz tries to sprawl but Radev drives through with a takedown into half guard. Radev not landing any meaningful shots this time. Kanitz is refusing to be controlled, as Radev sits in half guard. Kanitz is trying to stand up here but Radev is controlling him well. Radev is stalling here. Kanitz is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Radev seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kanitz has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Radev tries to bench press Kanitz off him but Kanitz keeps the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kanitz throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Radev on the side of the head. Kanitz lands a jab to Radev's midsection. Kanitz misses with a straight right. Radev wants to counter with a clinch but Kanitz pushes him away. A telegraphed right hand from Radev misses the target. Kanitz throws a body shot but no joy. Simon Kanitz is winning the standup battle so far. Kanitz dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Radev lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Kanitz takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Kanitz looks to land a left hand but Radev moved out of range nicely. Radev thows a leg kick but Kanitz checks it and Kanitz counters with a right hand to the body. Radev scores with a kick to the body.
Radev looks for a takedown but Kanitz sprawls well. Radev throws a chopping leg kick but Kanitz manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Kanitz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Radev can do to turn this around? Radev shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Radev looks to throw the jab but Kanitz is out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kanitz on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Radev. Radev obviously looking to wear him down.
Kanitz throws an overhand right that lands on Radev's shoulder, as Radev tries to avoid the shot. Kanitz is looking to score with low kicks. Radev throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kanitz tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Radev is in Kanitz's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Radev lands a couple of elbows. Radev slips nicely into half guard. Radev seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kanitz does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kanitz trying to hold on to Radev's head to control him but Radev postures up.
Radev wants to advance to full mount but Kanitz doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Radev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Radev controls from within his opponent's guard. Radev stops Kanitz from standing up. Radev postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kanitz is pulling down on Radev's head to control his posture. Kanitz is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Radev content to stall in guard here. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. My spies in Flower Power Pillow Fighters Training Center inform me that Radev has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Kanitz has his hands on Radev's head, controlling the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kanitz throws a solid leg kick but Radev takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kanitz. Decent striking displayed by Radev there. Kanitz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Radev sees it coming and avoids it easily. Radev is looking to land body kicks. Kanitz tries to clinch but Radev is having none of it. Kanitz misses with a body kick. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kanitz, right into the meat.

Kanitz walks into a left hand. Kanitz throws an overhand right that lands on Radev's shoulder, as Radev tries to avoid the shot. Kanitz misses with a body kick. Radev thinks about the counter body kick. Kanitz lands a slapping body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Radev throws a leg kick but Kanitz moved away. A big left from Radev misses. Kanitz swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Radev misses with a low kick. Radev connects with a solid leg kick. Radev takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Kanitz lands with an overhand left. Radev looks to land a right hand but Kanitz moved out of range. Kanitz rushes Radev and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Radev blocks an uppercut.

Kanitz tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Radev throws a head punch that misses. Kanitz throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Radevs head. Kanitz misses with some punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Simon Kanitz will probably get the nod. That's time! Kanitz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Radev sizes up Kanitz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. A momentary lapse in concentration from Kanitz enables Radev to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kanitz manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fighters are working up against the cage. Kanitz manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Kanitz misses with the head strike.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kanitz creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Kanitz has a couple of punches blocked by Radev.

Radev takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Radev is working for takedown but Kanitz is calmly controlling the position for now. Kanitz lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Kanitz softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Radev is rocked! Kanitz digs a right hand underneath Radev's ribcage. Radev let out a lung full of air as it connected. Radev misses with the head strike.
Kanitz tries a body shot but Radev blocks it.
A short left from Kanitz. Radev is still on wobbly legs! Can Kanitz finish him? Still in the clinch, Kanitz scores with a nice short uppercut. Kanitz lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Radev to his knees! Kanitz keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
