Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darwin France (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marc Spector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). France's entrance music is bring me to life. A fine choice. Darwin France has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Marc Spector!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
France swings and misses with a hook to the body.
France throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
France chopping away at his opponent's legs.
France has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
France tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Spector gets off balance looking for a body kick

and France counters with a takedown into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

France is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Spector is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

France will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

France swings around for an armbar but Spector sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into France's guard.

France goes for a double leg but Spector avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Spector continues to drive forward.

France shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Spector pinned against the cage. Spector gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Marc Spector dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


France has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

A decent looking cross lands there for Spector.
Spector takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

France looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Spector is fending him off so far but France persists. Nope, Spector circles away and we're back to standing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

France is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

Spector works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Spector does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

That's time! France's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Marc Spector comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Spector has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Marc Spector rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
