The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Metso shoots in for a takedown but Miles shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Metso fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Miles to the ground. Metso is now in Miles 's guard.

Miles working for a triangle but Metso defends it easily.
Miles wants to sweep here but Metso controlling him for the moment.
Metso is in close to Miles 's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Metso has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Miles is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Miles is rocked!
Metso really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Miles .
Metso is landing with strikes. Miles can't take much more of this.
Miles tries to roll but Metso sticks to his back.
Metso has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Miles 's body.

Metso cracks Miles with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Miles from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
I really don't envy Miles right now.

Miles gets caught napping as Metso dives in and scores a takedown. Miles manages to retain guard.

Metso perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Miles can do anything to dispel that myth.

Metso seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Miles is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
