Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alex Summers!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Taiei Kin!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kin scores with a leg kick.
Summers lands a nice hook to Kin's body. Kin takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Summers definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Summers throws a head kick that misses.
Summers tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kin takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Summers lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kin or not.

Kin throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Summers blocks it with crossed arms.
Summers swings wildly with an uppercut but Kin uses good head movement to avoid it.

Kin has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Summers seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Kin can turn it around.
Summers tries to throw a body punch but Kin avoids it by throwing Summers back against the cage.

Summers pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Summers connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Kin tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Summers paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kin blocks a low kick nicely.
Some bone on bone action there as Kin checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Summers missing with a left hand there. Kin was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Summers fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Summers connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

That was a close round but I would say that Alex Summers will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Kin in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Kin is rocked!
Summers lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Kin head around and knocks him out cold! Summers hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Alex Summers!
