Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Rolf Allan Mjunstedt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Don Collier! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Paul Aken and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mjunstedt throws a nice head kick!
Mjunstedt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Collier fails in his attempt to clinch. Collier stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Collier wants it to stay on the feet. Mjunstedt has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rolf Allan Mjunstedt. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nice sprawl there from Collier as Mjunstedt shoots in. No luck for Mjunstedt with that takedown attempt. Collier throws a head kick that misses. Mjunstedt shoots in looking for a takedown but Collier manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mjunstedt's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Collier looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Mjunstedt attempts a counter takedown but Collier avoids it well and moves away. Mjunstedt avoids the body shot from Collier.
Collier leaves Mjunstedt with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Collier shoots in and gets a takedown into Mjunstedt's guard. Mjunstedt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mjunstedt keeping moving, preventing Collier from controlling successfully. Collier is looking to work some ground and pound but Mjunstedt has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Collier landing with the ground and pound. Mjunstedt tries to strike from the bottom.
Collier postures up and lands a big shot to Mjunstedt's brow. Mjunstedt keeping moving, preventing Collier from controlling successfully. Collier drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mjunstedt manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Collier has Mjunstedt in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mjunstedt is posturing up here but Collier has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Mjunstedt tries to roll out but it's too tight and Mjunstedt has to tap! Slick submission there by Collier!
