The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cropp shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Patterson as he avoids it easily.
Patterson swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cropp.
Cropp lands with a hook. Patterson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
It looks like Floyd Patterson has been cut.

Patterson ducks under a wild hook from Cropp.
Patterson lands a nice hook to Cropp's body. Cropp takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Patterson has been working on his boxing with his coaches at House of 1000 Corpses in the buildup to the fight.
Cropp tries to bum rush Patterson with a series of wild strikes but Patterson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Patterson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Cropp thuds his right hand into Patterson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Patterson drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Cropp right on the button. Cropp goes down! Patterson follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Patterson gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Floyd Patterson!
