Valens comes to the cage accompanied by "Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkit. Jimmy Valens could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Heiji Endo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jimmy Valens! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Heiji Endo! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab lands there for Valens.
It looks like Heiji Endo has been cut. Jimmy Valens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Valens looks to land a left hand but Endo moved out of range nicely. Valens throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Endo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Endo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Valens. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Endo. Valens throws a right and a left that Endo avoids nicely. Valens slips under a jab. Valens rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Endo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. No joy there for Valens, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Valens goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Valens throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Endo avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Valens throws a combination. Endo tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Endo is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Valens loads up on a big right hand but Endo slips the punch. Endo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Valens is fending him off so far but Endo persists. Nope, Valens circles away and we're back to standing. Endo has a takedown stuffed. Jimmy Valens has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heiji Endo. Valens looks to land a right hand but Endo moved out of range. Endo ducks under a wild hook from Valens. A slapping leg kick lands for Valens.
Endo is trying desperately to land a takedown but Valens is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Endo. Endo looks gassed! Valens drives through and clinches with Endo against the cage.
Valens stalls. Valens connects with a massive knee from the clinch and Endo goes down! Valens jumps into full mount looking to finish!

Valens knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Endo on the ground. Valens stands up from mount. Strange move. Endo seems to have recovered his senses. Valens wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Valens throws a jab when Endo was well out of range. Valens fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Endo manages to avoid it. Endo checks a low kick from Valens. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Valens, as that shot connected.

That has opened up Heiji Endo's cut even more. Valens throws out a loose jab but Endo uses good head movement to avoid it. Valens throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Endo tries for a takedown but Valens sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Valens throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Endo tries to clinch but Valens is having none of it. Valens throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Valens has closed the distance and engaged Endo in a clinch.
Valens keeps control of Endo as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Endo drops down looking for an ankle pick but Valens pulls his leg out and moves away.
Valens lands with a right hand. Valens throws a leg kick which misses Endo's front leg but catches the back leg as Endo tries to avoid it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Valens misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Endo.
Valens takes a swing at Endo's ribcage but misses. Valens throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Endo sees it coming and avoids it easily. Endo shoots in looking for a takedown. Valens tries to sprawl out of it but Endo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Valens manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Valens is looking to score with low kicks. Valens works Endo's body with a nice hook. Valens uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. A big left from Valens misses.

Valens has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
