The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vettenranta takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Vettenranta misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Myers lands a jab.
Kaleva Vettenranta seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Myers throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Vettenranta.

and Myers counters with a nice low kick that buckles Vettenranta's knee momentarily.

Vettenranta misses with a takedown attempt - Myers sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
It looked like Myers was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Vettenranta throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Myers's waist but Myers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vettenranta off to one side.
A little feinted left hand from Myers on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Myers is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Myers catches Vettenranta with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Vettenranta uses his free foot to push down on Myers's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Myers.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Vettenranta cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Myers tries to lock up and control but Vettenranta gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Vettenranta jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Myers manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Myers is trying to escape the position but Vettenranta is controlling the position.

Vettenranta is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Myers looks calm but he's in trouble here. Vettenranta gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Myers is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Vettenranta lets go of the hold and Myers can pop his arm back in it's socket.

A relieved looking Kaleva Vettenranta thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
