Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ukko Metso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Art Vanderlay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Art Vanderlay has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Ukko Metso's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Art Vanderlay! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Peter Branson and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Metso feints and as Vanderlay raises his hands in defense, Metso changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Vanderlay is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Vanderlay throwing shots but Metso is blocking nicely. Vanderlay is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Metso sees it coming and defends easily. Metso makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Metso. Metso tries to land a sweep but no joy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vanderlay is pushing down on Metso's leg trying to pass to half guard. Metso is fighting to maintain full guard but Vanderlay has managed to sneak the leg through. Metso avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Vanderlay. Vanderlay wants to work for an arm triangle but Metso is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Vanderlay throwing shots but Metso is blocking nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vanderlay is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Metso tries to roll over but Vanderlay keeps him under control. Vanderlay is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Metso has managed to free his arm - good work. Metso might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Vanderlay thows a huge punch but Metso dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Metso slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Metso bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Vanderlay's guard. Metso trying to control but Vanderlay is working from the bottom. Metso knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vanderlay on the ground. Metso stays in close to Vanderlay's body and controls the position. Metso distracts Vanderlay with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Metso scoring with some ground and pound. Vanderlay had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Metso defends it easily. Metso with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Metso has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Vanderlay working a defensive guard here.
Vanderlay escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Metso gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Metso slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Metso definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Vanderlay has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Metso postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Metso controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Vanderlay is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Vanderlay looks winded! Vanderlay escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Metso gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Metso trying to control the position from guard on top but Vanderlay is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Metso working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Vanderlay's head. That's four minutes gone in the round. Metso is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Metso trying to control but Vanderlay is working from the bottom. Metso advances to half guard. Vanderlay taking some punishment here, with Metso in his half guard. Vanderlay felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Metso is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Vanderlay trying to control but Metso postures up.
Metso has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Vanderlay in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

It looks like Art Vanderlay has been cut. Vanderlay is trying to escape the mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Metso raining down hammerfists from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ukko Metso dominated that round. The cut man is working on Art Vanderlay's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Metso dives in and gets a big takedown. He lands in full mount and immediately unloads a series of heavy strikes! Vanderlay has had enough and taps out.
