Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lump Beefrock! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Gore Fox! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beefrock avoids the head kick by Fox.
Fox thows a left - swing and a miss! Left hook, right uppercut from Fox.
It looks like Lump Beefrock has been cut. Fox fails in his attempt to clinch. Beefrock pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Beefrock tries to move into range but Fox moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Beefrock is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Fox tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Beefrock paws at him with a jab and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Beefrock blocks a jab. Fox throws a shot to the body.
Fox gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Beefrock makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beefrock takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Fox lands a nice shot to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Beefrock. Fox does a little dance to reset his feet. Fox loads up on a big right hand but Beefrock slips the punch. Fox scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Beefrock misses the body punch and Fox counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Fox tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Beefrock paws at him with a jab and circles away. A quick step to the side and Beefrock tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Beefrock defending well as Fox loads up on a big left hand. As Fox backs away, Beefrock returns fire with a leg kick that just misses. Beefrock ducks under a wild hook from Fox. Fox throws a head kick but Beefrock moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beefrock falls off balance throwing a combination
and Fox counters with a nice uppercut. Nice takedown defense from Beefrock. No joy for Fox on that attempt. Beefrock misses the shot to the body. Fox looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Fox scores with a punch to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A punch lands to the side of Beefrock 's head but he takes it in his stride. Fox tries to close the distance and clinch up but Beefrock swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lump Beefrock is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Beefrock walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Fox pushes Beefrock up against the cage in a clinch. Fox swings wildly with an uppercut but Beefrock uses good head movement to avoid it. Fox takes a shot to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Beefrock goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Beefrock gets through Fox's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Beefrock tries a body shot but Fox blocks it.
Beefrock lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Beefrock lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Fox or not. Fox looks winded! Beefrock escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've been informed that Fox has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. A nice inside leg kick there by Beefrock. That's going to slow Fox down. Beefrock throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Beefrock buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Beefrock drops Fox with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Fox looks back up at him and smiles so Beefrock waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Beefrock dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Beefrock is looking to wear down Fox with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Fox is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Beefrock doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Fox crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Fox's bad books for that mishap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lump Beefrock! During a confident post fight interview, Lump Beefrock thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him. Gore Fox spoke after the fight, saying 'my opponent is a great fighter. ill be back back in the gym priming for a rematch. '.
