Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Rumlow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neil Gilas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gilas has chosen Remember The Name - Fort Minor as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Neil Gilas was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Rumlow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Neil Gilas! The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rumlow thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Gilas if he has to take too many more of those.
Brock Rumlow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rumlow looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Rumlow tries to land a body kick and Gilas decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rumlow's guard. Rumlow utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gilas trying to control but Rumlow is working from the bottom. Rumlow pulls Gilas in close to his closed guard and prevents Gilas from doing any damage or advancing position. Gilas is working Rumlow over from the guard. Rumlow seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rumlow controls Gilas momentarily but Gilas frees himself.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Rumlow uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gilas.
Rumlow is looking to slow Gilas down with leg kicks. Gilas shoots in but no luck this time. Rumlow connects with a good right hand that stumbles Gilas. Gilas circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Rumlow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Brock Rumlow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Rumlow lands a really nice looking cross but Gilas seems unphased.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rumlow scores with a kick to the midsection. Rumlow comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Rumlow throws a good cross that connects.
Gilas scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Rumlow doesn't seem bothered though. Rumlow lands a body shot.
A decent looking cross lands there for Rumlow. That kick from Rumlow tenderised Gilas's leg. Gilas is trying to keep his angry face on. Rumlow fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Rumlow feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gilas's calf. Gilas shoots in for a takedown but Rumlow shows good takedown defense. This has been an exciting period of action! Gilas looks to land a left hand but Rumlow moved out of range nicely. Rumlow lands a nice leg kick that just misses Gilas's sensitive parts.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rumlow fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Gilas swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Rumlow moves into range and connects with a jab. Gilas takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Rumlow cracks Gilas with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Rumlow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gilas doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rumlow counters with a straight right hand. Brock Rumlow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Neil Gilas. A good leg kick by Rumlow. Rumlow is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Rumlow moves out of range as Gilas strikes. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Rumlow, as that shot connected.

He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Gilas walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. We've been told by Rumlow's head coaches at Mary Gracies Jiu Jitsu that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Gilas takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. That kick from Rumlow tenderised Gilas's leg. Gilas is trying to keep his angry face on. Rumlow lands with a kick to the temple. Gilas shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Rumlow is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gilas can do to turn this around? Rumlow pushes Gilas away with a front kick. Gilas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rumlow but Rumlow pushes him off and we're back to square one. Rumlow throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Gilas takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Rumlow moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gilas scores with a body shot.

Gilas is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Gilas's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Rumlow is looking to land body kicks. Rumlow lands a leg kick that knocks Gilas off balance momentarily. Gilas shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Gilas postures up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. A head kick misses from Rumlow. Gilas ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Rumlow scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Gilas is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Rumlow rather than just go for the knockout. Gilas throws a body shot but no joy. That's three minutes gone in the round. Gilas dives in and grabs Rumlow's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rumlow pushes down on Gilas's head and hops out. Rumlow throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Rumlow feints a jab promting Gilas to slip. Rumlow then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Gilas slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Gilas moves out of range of the body kick. Rumlow throws a leg kick which misses Gilas's front leg but catches the back leg as Gilas tries to avoid it. Rumlow cracks Gilas with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Rumlow bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Gilas's head. Rumlow wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Gilas has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Rumlow. Gilas stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rumlow. Rumlow lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Rumlow throws a head kick but Gilas moves out of range.

Gilas takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Rumlow thumps Gilas with a low kick. Rumlow moves out of range as Gilas strikes. A leg kick checked by Gilas. Gilas takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Gilas looks to score with a jab to the body but Rumlow is just out of range. Rumlow throws a front kick aimed at Gilas's knee but Gilas avoids it well. A low kick from Rumlow misses and Gilas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rumlow connects with a leg kick. Gilas looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Gilas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rumlow.

Rumlow tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gilas's elbow. A short uppercut from Rumlow. Rumlow gets through Gilas's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. A head punch on the inside from Rumlow fails to land. Rumlow lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Rumlow lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gilas backwards. You can see that Gilas has visibly slowed down as a result of the leg kicks Gilas misses with a punch on the inside.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gilas tries to circle away but Rumlow has him pinned against the cage. Gilas wants to take the fight to the mat but Rumlow manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Brock Rumlow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Gilas is rocked! Rumlow lands with a short head shot on the inside. Gilas is still on wobbly legs! Can Rumlow finish him? Rumlow lands a hook that snaps the head of Gilas backwards. A head punch blocked on the inside by Gilas. Rumlow scores with a hook to the body. Rumlow misses with some punches.
Gilas seems to have recovered his senses. Rumlow lands with a right to the head. Rumlow pushes Gilas back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. A right handed body shot lands from Rumlow.
Rumlow lands with a right to the head. Rumlow creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Gilas with a big uppercut! Gilas tries to clinch up but Rumlow pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Gilas to the mat! Gilas covers up and Rumlow unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Brock Rumlow! An out of breath Brock Rumlow thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
