PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Hector Linhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Juan Koski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Linhares comes into the arena with Los Sicarios, Sokol, Koras - A veces blaring out of the sound system. Koski has chosen Accept - Head Over Heels as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. On his way into the cage it seems that Hector Linhares has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Hector Linhares seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Hector Linhares!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Juan Koski!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koski throws a body punch but Linhares moves out of range.
Koski feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Linhares's calf.
A bone on bone clash there as Linhares blocks the leg kick.
Linhares goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Juan Koski has been cut.
Koski throws a body punch but Linhares moves out of range.

and Linhares counters with a thumping low kick.
Koski has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Koski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Linhares manages to avoid it.

It looked like Linhares was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Koski.

Linhares rushes Koski with punches - Koski moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Koski goes down! Linhares follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:08 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hector Linhares!

A relieved looking Hector Linhares thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
