Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Brian Snow! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Jones! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Daniel Franklin and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Snow manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Snow half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Jones is looking to clinch. Jones with a nice cross. Snow fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but Snow persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Snow is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jones is just riding it out for now. Snow eventually gives up the hold. Snow is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jones has managed to free his arm - good work. Snow is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones wants to control but Snow is keeping busy.

Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Snow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Snow trying to mount his opponent but Jones defends it. Snow is working for a kimura but Jones is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Snow is looking for a kimura here.

Jones controls Snow momentarily but Snow frees himself. Snow has gone for a leg lock! Jones slips out almost immediately though and dives into Snow's guard.

Snow working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jones doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jones manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jones pushes down on Snow's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snow looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Snow looking for submissions off his back. Snow looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Snow looking for submissions off his back. Snow tries to get to full guard but Jones has control of the leg. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Snow. Snow trying to control the action but Jones is working from the bottom. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Snow is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones wants to control but Snow is keeping busy and won't allow it. Snow is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jones doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Snow. Snow is looking for a kimura here.
Snow works his way into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snow misses with a head shot. Jones defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Snow. Jones holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Snow tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Snow is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Jones is surviving well by controlling Snow's body position as best he can. Jones flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Snow has hold of Jones's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jones manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Snow is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jones can do to turn this around? Jones is looking to improve his position but Snow isn't that keen on the idea. Jones wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Snow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snow is in the full mount, landing strikes. Poor strikes thrown by Snow there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Jones throwing hammer fists to the chest of Snow. What's that going to do exactly? Snow moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Jones has worked his arm free - good work by Jones!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Snow is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jones is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. You can see the frustration on Jones's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Snow dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Snow. Snow gets slowly back to his feet. Jones throws out a counter right but Snow avoids it with no problem. Brian Snow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jones will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Snow appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Snow checks the leg kick. Snow shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Jones counters with a stiff right hand. Jones shoots in and drives through. Snow sprawls well. Jones moves into range and clinches up with Snow. Snow is looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Brian Snow. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Snow is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones is pressed up against the cage. Snow has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Snow tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Snow manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Snow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snow closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Snow throws a strike aimed at the side of Jones's head but Jones avoids it well. Jones gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Snow missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Snow maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Jones could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Snow has cracked it and Jones is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Snow!
