Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaku Nakanishi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Campion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gaku Nakanishi could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Michael Campion's chin.

4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Campion! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nakanishi is defended easily by Campion. Campion shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Nakanishi's guard. Nakanishi looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Nakanishi is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Campion throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Nakanishi works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Nakanishi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Campion is one step ahead there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nakanishi not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Campion is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Campion. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Nakanishi is chipping away with strikes.
