Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Hojackin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Rottwel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for David Hojackin has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, David Hojackin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Igor Rottwel! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rottwel with a lazy takedown attempt letting Hojackin counter with a right hand.
It looks like Igor Rottwel has been cut. Hojackin lands with a nice body punch. Rottwel has his takedown stuffed and Hojackin counters with a stiff right hand. Rottwel doesn't succeed with the takedown and Hojackin counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. David Hojackin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Igor Rottwel. Nice cross by Hojackin. Rottwel dives in and scores a takedown into Hojackin's guard. Rottwel trying to control but Hojackin is working from the bottom. Hojackin is controlling Rottwel's posture. Hojackin continues to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rottwel throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hojackin works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Rottwel drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hojackin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hojackin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hojackin! Rottwel is looking to reverse the position. Rottwel can't do much from the bottom here. A lull in the action here as Hojackin stalls from top position. Rottwel is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here. Hojackin landing strikes. Rottwel sneaks back into half guard. Hojackin is taking a breather. Rottwel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Rottwel makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rottwel. Rottwel throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Hojackin passes Rottwel's left leg - he's now in half guard. Rottwel is looking to control Hojackin's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rottwel avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rottwel actively working from the bottom here. Rottwel trying to hold on to Hojackin's head to control him but Hojackin postures up.
Rottwel wants to sweep but Hojackin has passed to side control! Rottwel is trying to improve his position. Hojackin landing a few strikes. Rottwel tries to get back to half guard but can't. A lull in the action here as Hojackin stalls from top position. Hojackin working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The referee asks Hojackin politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Hojackin prefers to stall for the moment though. Rottwel gets back to half guard. Hojackin tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rottwel knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Rottwel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hojackin is working away from the top position though. Hojackin controlling the pace. Rottwel is trying to maintain the position but Hojackin is very close to passing his half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hojackin winds up and cracks Rottwel with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hojackin wants to pass to mount but Rottwel is defending the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Hojackin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Igor Rottwel's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rottwel closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hojackin's guard. Rottwel drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rottwel jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Rottwel drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hojackin looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hojackin looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hojackin! Rottwel tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hojackin wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Hojackin works to advance to full mount. Rottwel defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Rottwel tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hojackin raining down hammerfists from mount. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hojackin lands a big elbow. Hojackin lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hojackin is landing with some decent strikes but Rottwel is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Hojackin controlling his opponent. Rottwel is trying to escape the mount.
Rottwel looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hojackin controlling the position easily from mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rottwel is looking to improve his position but Hojackin isn't that keen on the idea. Rottwel bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Rottwel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hojackin swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rottwel postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hojackin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rottwel, into his guard. Hojackin stays in close to Rottwel's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rottwel looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hojackin is stalling in the full guard. Hojackin lands a couple of decent looking shots. Rottwel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hojackin defends well. Hojackin is working Rottwel over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. David Hojackin overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Rottwel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hojackin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hojackin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hojackin engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's three minutes gone in the round. More hug and hope from Hojackin. Rottwel is looking for a triangle but Hojackin pushes his legs off easily.
Hojackin is in close to Rottwel's body, working some short punches and elbows. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rottwel can do anything to dispel that myth. Hojackin sitting in guard, not really doing much. Rottwel escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hojackin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Rottwel had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hojackin defends it easily. Hojackin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rottwel can do to turn this around? Rottwel is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hojackin controls from within his opponent's guard. Hojackin pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rottwel is keeping the position for now. Rottwel had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hojackin defends it easily. Rottwel is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hojackin defends well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rottwel has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hojackin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. David Hojackin dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Igor Rottwel's cut. That's time! Hojackin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Hojackin moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Hojackin with a body punch. A glancing blow. Hojackin cracks Rottwel on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Rottwel falls backwards against the cage. Hojackin follows up with more strikes that drop Rottwel to his knees. Hojackin keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Rottwel! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Hojackin!
