Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Felix Fonseca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Shiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shiro has chosen Ken il guerriero as his entrance music. Felix Fonseca has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Felix Fonseca! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ken Shiro! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shiro with a lazy takedown attempt and Fonseca counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Fonseca slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Shiro closes the distance and clinches up with Fonseca, looking for a takedown. Shiro pushes Fonseca against the cage but Fonseca circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fonseca misses with a wild body shot. Fonseca bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Shiro misses with a takedown attempt enabling Fonseca to counter with a crisp jab. Felix Fonseca has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Shiro. Fonseca throws the kick towards the body but Shiro avoids it. Fonseca really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Shiro gets the takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Shiro is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Fonseca knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shiro tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Shiro has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Shiro goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Fonseca rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Shiro's guard! Nice work there by Fonseca! Shiro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Fonseca defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fonseca wants to control from the top but Shiro keeps moving. Shiro looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Fonseca passes into half guard.
Fonseca knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shiro on the ground. Fonseca looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Shiro with the active half guard here but Fonseca passes nicely into side control. Shiro looks winded! Fonseca tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Shiro tries to improve position but can't. Fonseca will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fonseca gets to mount! Shiro was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly. Shiro should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Shiro is wriggling around trying to escape.
Shiro is squirming around, avoiding Fonseca's attempts to control the action. Shiro can't escape the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shiro keeps trying to improve his position. Fonseca controlling the position easily from mount. Shiro is trying desperately to improve position. Fonseca controlling his opponent. Shiro is looking to get to half guard. Fonseca sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fonseca continues to stall. Shiro is trying to escape the mount.
Fonseca controlling from the full mount. Shiro sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Shiro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Fonseca controlling the action here. Shiro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Felix Fonseca dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Shiro steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Fonseca. That one must have hurt. Fonseca is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shiro can do to turn this around? Shiro closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Fonseca did well to prevent Shiro getting side control. Shiro is looking for a kimura here.
Shiro seems to be working for a kimura but Fonseca defends the submission attempt. Fonseca is controlling Shiro's position as best he can from this difficult position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shiro is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fonseca is just riding it out for now. Shiro eventually gives up the hold. Shiro is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fonseca defends it well. Shiro is breathing heavily.

Fonseca is looking for a sweep. Shiro is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Fonseca is working hard here to advance position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Fonseca is trying to stand back up but Shiro is controlling him
Shiro prevents Fonseca from improving his position. Fonseca wants to get back to his feet. Shiro is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Shiro seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Fonseca has recovered full guard. Fonseca is looking to stand up but Shiro isn't so interested in that idea. Fonseca looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shiro drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Fonseca dives on top into guard.
Shiro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Fonseca can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Shiro looking for subs off his back but Fonseca has passed one foot through into half guard.
Shiro actively working from the bottom here. Shiro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Fonseca wants to control but Shiro is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fonseca wants to stand up but Shiro has a hold of him and won't allow it. Fonseca keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Felix Fonseca overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Shiro is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Fonseca controlling the action here. Shiro actively working from the bottom here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Shiro looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Fonseca sitting and controlling from the half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Felix Fonseca will probably get the nod. That's time! Fonseca's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Fonseca closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Fonseca lands a nice elbow. Shiro jumps guard but Fonseca stands there with Shiro around his waist. Shiro gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Shiro is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Fonseca to keep the fight standing. Fonseca crunches a lovely knee into Shiro's ribcage. Fonseca with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Fonseca lands a shoulder strike. Fonseca breaks the clinch.
Fonseca connects with a jab. Shiro takes a body punch but keeps moving. Fonseca digs a good hook to Shiro's body.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shiro walks forward, straight into a front kick from Fonseca. Shiro takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Fonseca wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Shiro takes a kick to the side of the head. Ken Shiro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shiro has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Fonseca.
That's one minute gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Fonseca.
Shiro has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Shiro chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Fonseca can pounce on him.
Shiro has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shiro there as he acknowledges the shot.
Shiro is rocked! Fonseca fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shiro looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Fonseca lands with a big left! Shiro is wobbled badly! Fonseca comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Shiro to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Felix Fonseca! Felix Fonseca seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
