Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Doc Dykstra!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dykstra takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Dykstra chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Poole can pounce on him.
Poole lands a jab.
Dykstra takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Doc Dykstra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dykstra misses with a leg kick.
Poole moves out of range of the leg kick from Dykstra.
Poole moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Poole - that will leave a mark!
Poole fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Dykstra has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Poole has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Wolf Training Lair in the buildup to the fight.
Dykstra misses with a body kick.
Dykstra misses with a series of wild punches.
Dykstra drops his hands momentarily and Poole takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
It looks like Doc Dykstra has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dykstra falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Poole to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A slapping body kick lands there for Poole.
Dykstra looks winded!
Poole lands a nice leg kick that just misses Dykstra's sensitive parts.
A solid body kick from Poole.
Poole darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Poole lands a jab.
Poole drops Dykstra with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Dykstra looks back up at him and smiles so Poole waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Dykstra is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Poole throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Poole drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Dykstra right on the button. Dykstra goes down! Poole follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Poole gets the win via TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Will Poole!
Will Poole retains his heavyweight title!
After winning the bout, Will Poole thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
