PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pablo Alvado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Camatta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alvado comes to the cage accompanied by Stay Down. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 13 - 1, fighting out of New York, Pablo Alvado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Camatta!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvado misses with a hook. Camatta ducked under it nicely.

Alvado stuns Camatta with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Camatta is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Alvado.
Camatta takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

And Camatta tries to counter it with a takedown but Alvado pushes his down on his head and steps out.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Camatta has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

The crowd cheers as Camatta lands an impressive looking overhand right. Alvado doesn't seem phased though.

Camatta tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Alvado defends well and Camatta ends up having to push Alvado into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Pablo Alvado.
I think Camatta has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
