Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenny Clack! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Sylvester Malone! The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Malone defending well as Clack loads up on a big left hand. Malone will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Malone throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Clack was covering up waiting for the punch and Malone finishes the takedown easily into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Malone is in close to Clack's body, working some short punches and elbows. Clack trying to keep a closed guard but Malone is proving a slippery customer.
Clack wants to sweep here but Malone controlling him for the moment. Malone looking to control the position here, rather than advance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Malone postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clack looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Malone trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Clack escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Malone gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Malone throwing strikes but missing. Clack looking to hit a scissor sweep but Malone is one step ahead there. Malone is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Malone is in close to Clack's body, working some short punches and elbows. Malone trying to control the position from guard on top but Clack is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Malone cracks Clack with a solid left hand. Malone postures up in Clack's guard and throws a big left but Clack blocks it. Clack can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Malone controls the pace. Malone's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Malone pushes down on Clack's leg and manages to get into half guard. Clack is looking to control Malone's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Clack avoid being mounted? Malone working Clack over with strikes. Clack actively working from the bottom here. Clack wants to improve his position but Malone is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Malone with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. It looks like Malone might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Malone working over Clack with some ground and pound. Clack looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Malone is controlling the pace.
Clack gets full guard. Clack throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Clack is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Malone defends well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Malone postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Clack working for a triangle but Malone defends it easily.
Malone connects with a couple of short punches. Clack is trying to keep Malone in close.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Malone cracks Clack with a solid left hand. Clack is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Malone is aware though and is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sylvester Malone dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Malone looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Clack! Malone wants to control but Clack is keeping him busy. Malone goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Clack has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Malone but great work by Clack. Malone is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Clack off and has taken his back! Malone throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Clack!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Clack rolls, trying to escape but Malone keeps control of the position.
Malone lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Malone is trying to control but Clack is trying to escape here - he's now mounted.
Malone has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Malone is working for a guillotine from mount but Clack frees his head quite easily.
Malone is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Clack can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Malone has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Clack wants to control but Malone is having none of it. Clack is looking to improve his position but Malone isn't that keen on the idea. Malone is in the full mount, landing strikes. Malone controlling his opponent. Malone raining down shots from the mount! Malone looking to control but Clack is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Clack is rocked! Malone lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Oh Clack is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Clack is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Malone controlling his opponent. Clack is desperately trying to improve his position but Malone has a good base and remains in mount. Clack wants to control but Malone is having none of it. Clack seems to have got his legs back now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Malone controlling the position easily from mount. Malone has control of Clack's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Clack regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Malone tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Malone wants to control the pace but Clack is squirming around nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Malone lands a big elbow. Clack tries to hold on but Malone postures up. Malone scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Clack is desperately trying to improve his position but Malone has a good base and remains in mount. Malone is landing with some decent strikes but Clack is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Malone fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Sylvester Malone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!
Malone tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Clack drops down looking for a counter takedown but Malone sprawls and moves away. Donk. Malone catches Clack right on the button with a cross. Clack ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Malone moves away. Malone misses with a leg kick and Clack decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Malone's guard. Clack throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Malone works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Malone looking to control.
Malone bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Clack's guard. Malone makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Malone controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clack looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Malone shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Clack napping and manages to drive through into side control! Malone wants to lay and pray for a moment but Clack keeps working. Clack is trying to improve his position. Clack tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Malone easily slips into full mount! The referee warns Clack that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Clack tries to lock up and control but Malone gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. This has been an exciting period of action! Malone takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Malone looking to control but Clack is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Kenny Clack has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Clack tries to hold on but Malone postures up. Malone working away from the top, dropping strikes. Sylvester Malone is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Malone cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The referee warns Clack that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Clack in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Malone postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Clack bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Malone and the fight is over!
