Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kingsley Babajide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Vermeer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Alexander Vermeer! The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Babajide shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vermeer sprawls well. Vermeer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Babajide gets slowly back to his feet. Vermeer scores with a nice head shot. A looping hook to the body misses from Babajide. Vermeer does a little dance to reset his feet. Babajide throws the left hand but Vermeer avoids the punch easily. Vermeer closes the distance and pushes Babajide back into the cage. Babajide tries a body shot but Vermeer blocks it.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Alexander Vermeer decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
