Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Arjan Kush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miesha Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Arjan Kush! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Miesha Tate! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tate tries for a takedown but Kush sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kush fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kush slaps away a takedown attempt from Tate, before circling back to the center of the mat. Tate keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tate closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Kush stops Tate from passing to mount. Tate working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kush has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tate in the domination position with Kush hanging on. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tate wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kush, who protects the arm well. Tate tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tate has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's one minute gone in the round. Kush manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Tate on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Tate actively working from the bottom here. Tate tries to get to full guard but Kush has control of the leg. Kush scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kush connects with a nice short shot to Tate's temple. Kush controlling the action here. Kush lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kush seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Tate tries to roll over but Kush keeps him under control. Kush is nestled in close to Tate, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Tate actively working from the bottom here. Kush lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Kush looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Tate with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Kush seems to be looking for submissions.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Tate is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kush pulls his head out easily. Kush is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Tate sees it coming and defends easily.

Kush is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tate is just riding it out for now. Kush eventually gives up the hold. Kush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kush wants to lay and pray for a moment but Tate keeps working. Tate wants to get back to full guard. Tate taking some punishment here, with Kush in his half guard. Kush is working for a kimura but Tate is defending it quite comfortably.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kush scoring with strikes to the body and head. Kush is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Tate looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Nice strikes from Kush there. Kush uses his free foot to push down on Tate's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Tate. Tate can't escape the position.
Kush with a couple of short strikes. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kush cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
It looks like Miesha Tate has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kush is landing with some decent strikes but Tate is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Tate is rocked! Kush scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Tate?
Tate is still in real trouble! Can Kush finish him? Kush connects with a bit shot that sees Tate covering up! More strikes from Kush and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Kush is our winner by TKO!
