Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ken Roussow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ken Roussow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Victor Steel!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Sandra Marshall and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Roussow connects with a looping right hand.
Roussow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Roussow scores with a jab.
Roussow scores with a decent looking hook.
Steel waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Roussow.
Roussow tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Steel manages to circle out of the way.
Steel throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Roussow loads up on a big right hand but Steel slips the punch.
Steel is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Steel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Roussow ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Roussow scores with a punch to the head.
Steel misses with a wild body shot.
Roussow tries to counter by clinching up but Steel breaks away and moves out of range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Steel keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Steel avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Roussow misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Steel.
And Steel tries to counter it with a takedown but Roussow pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Steel looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Steel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Roussow was covering up waiting for the punch and Steel finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Roussow is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Steel wants to pass the guard but Roussow is keeping the position.

Roussow seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Steel makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Roussow tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Roussow is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Steel sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Steel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Roussow lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Steel at a distance.
Steel throws an overhand right that lands on Roussow's shoulder, as Roussow tries to avoid the shot.
Nice uppercut there from Roussow.
Steel tries to move into range but Roussow moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Roussow lands with an uppercut that bounces Steel off the cage and back into range.
Roussow looks to land a right hand but Steel moved out of range.
Steel keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Roussow.
Roussow missing with a left hand there. Steel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sloppy strikes from Roussow. Those never looked like landing.
A little jabbing left from Steel on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Roussow throws a series of punches but Steel moves out of range.
Steel is looking for the big counter here.

Steel changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Roussow cracks a nice hook into Steel's ribs.

Steel throws a hook but Roussow avoids it easily.
Steel rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Roussow counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Roussow misses with a straight right.
A lazy left from Roussow finds it's target.


Steel is rocked!
Roussow lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Steel is looking to close the distance but Roussow sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Steel crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Steel is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Knee). Ken Roussow!
After the big win, Ken Roussow made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Sully's Bar & Grill and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
In defeat, Victor Steel stepped up to the mic, saying 'Impressive win to my opponent. I will learn from this and come back stronger and avenge this loss in the near future. Watch and see.'.
