Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Azadshatru Singh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Papa Shango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Singh might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to DMX - X Gon' Give It To Ya. Shango has chosen Shango Tango as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Papa Shango was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh avoids a punch combination nicely.
Shango scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Singh doesn't seem bothered though.
Singh drops his hands momentarily and Shango takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Shango takes the fight into the clinch.
Shango throws a head punch that misses.
Singh lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
It looks like Papa Shango has been cut.
Singh can't find room to land a body shot as Shango controls the action.
Shango presses Singh against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

No joy there for Shango, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Singh tried to counter with a leg kick but Shango avoided it.

Singh feints and then cracks Shango's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Shango down.
Shango avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Singh takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Singh went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
A looping hook to the body misses from Shango. Singh does a little dance to reset his feet.

Singh's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Singh has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Singh there as he acknowledges the shot.
Shango connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Singh momentarily.
Singh is rocked!
Shango closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Singh! Shango dives in looking to finish! Singh is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Papa Shango!
Papa Shango spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
