6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Huan Tai! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Michael Johnstone and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emelianenko shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. A kick lands to the mid section there for Tai. Emelianenko shoots for a takedown but Tai saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tai tries a quick counter leg kick but Emelianenko is wise to it. Emelianenko blocks a head kick by Tai.
Emelianenko fails with the takedown. Tai thinks about the counter body kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aleksandr Emelianenko. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tai scores with a head kick. Emelianenko tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Good work there from Tai! Emelianenko is trying to get back to half guard. Emelianenko has one of Tai's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Emelianenko is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Tai off and has taken his back! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tai stuffs the takedown. Tai plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Emelianenko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tai avoids it really well and circles away. Tai lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Tai lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Huan Tai seems to be getting the better of the standup. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Tai, right into the meat.

Emelianenko misses with a leg kick and Tai counters with a body kick that stops Emelianenko in his tracks momentarily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tai misses with a head kick.

Huan Tai showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Tai looks at the referee who does nothing so Tai lands a crushing right that sends Emelianenko to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.
