Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kidd Makunochi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marlon Jogos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kidd Makunochi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Marlon Jogos! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jogos throws a head kick that misses. Makunochi tries to counter with a takedown but Jogos is quick to defend against it. Makunochi feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Makunochi trying to control the position from guard on top but Jogos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Makunochi showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jogos throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Jogos looking for a sweep. Not yet Jogos, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jogos keeping moving, preventing Makunochi from controlling successfully. Jogos working a defensive guard here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Makunochi showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Jogos working for a triangle but Makunochi defends it easily.
Makunochi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Makunochi is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Makunochi is in close to Jogos's body, working some short punches and elbows. Jogos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Makunochi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Makunochi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jogos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Makunochi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Makunochi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Makunochi with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Makunochi working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jogos's head. Makunochi drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Jogos dives on top into guard. Makunochi seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Jogos pushes down on Makunochi's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Makunochi has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jogos is working away from the top position though. Makunochi is controlling Jogos's position as best he can from this difficult position. Jogos not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jogos trying to control the action but Makunochi is working from the bottom. Makunochi is looking to control Jogos's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Makunochi avoid being mounted? Jogos is just content to waste time from the top position. Makunochi takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jogos trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Jogos trying to control the position from guard on top but Makunochi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Makunochi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Makunochi wants to sweep but no luck. Jogos throwing strikes from guard but Makunochi blocks nicely. Jogos would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Jogos stopping the sweep attempt from Makunochi. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Jogos wants to stand but Makunochi has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Jogos will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Makunochi feinted with a counter takedown. Jogos connects with the punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Marlon Jogos will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Jogos tries to clinch but Makunochi is having none of it. Jogos misses with the combination.
Jogos looks to throw a body kick and Makunochi counters with a shoot takedown. Jogos fights it but they end up in guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Jogos manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Makunochi works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. Jogos scrambles and gets back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action! Makunochi darts in looking for a takedown but Jogos gets double underhooks and turns Makunochi into the cage. A right-left combo lands from Jogos. Kidd Makunochi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Makunochi fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jogos avoids it really well and circles away.

Jogos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Makunochi swats him away and circles back towards the center. Makunochi half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Makunochi is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Jogos lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Makunochi fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Makunochi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Jogos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Makunochi paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jogos lands a jab-cross combination. Jogos has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jogos stalks Makunochi and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Makunochi's face. Makunochi staggers backwards, shaken. Jogos tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Makunochi looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Makunochi throws a strike but Jogos rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jogos trying to control but Makunochi is working from the bottom. Jogos throwing strikes from guard but Makunochi blocks nicely.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jogos is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jogos throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Makunochi works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Makunochi keeping moving, preventing Jogos from controlling successfully. Jogos landing with the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jogos tries to free his leg and advance position but Makunochi is retaining full guard. Jogos looking to sit in guard and control but Makunochi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Jogos is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Makunochi frees his head nicely. Oh but Jogos has switched to an armbar! Makunochi is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
