Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gymer Alexandersson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randolph Turpin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexandersson comes into the arena with Too Bad I Have To Destroy You Now blaring out of the sound system. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Randolph Turpin!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turpin looks to land a right hand but Alexandersson moved out of range.
Alexandersson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Turpin scores with a spinning back kick!
Alexandersson lands with a kick to the temple. Turpin shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Turpin has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Turpin connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.


It looks like Gymer Alexandersson has been cut.
Alexandersson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Turpin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Alexandersson scrambles back to his feet.
Alexandersson misses with an uppercut.
Turpin slips a jab from Alexandersson.
Turpin misses with a body kick.
Alexandersson has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Turpin lands with a right hand.
Turpin stuns Alexandersson with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Turpin throws the left hand but Alexandersson avoids the punch easily.
Turpin swings for the body but Alexandersson moves out of range.

and Turpin makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Alexandersson really felt that one!
Turpin takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Turpin connects with a jab.
Turpin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Alexandersson misses with a wild body shot.
Turpin delivers a nice body kick.
Turpin connects with a crisp jab.

Turpin closes the distance and clinches.
Turpin throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Turpin is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Alexandersson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Turpin backwards.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Turpin softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.

Turpin breaks the clinch.
The fighters circle momentarily. Turpin darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Turpin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Turpin bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Alexandersson's head.
Alexandersson misses with a wild body shot.
Turpin changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Randolph Turpin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turpin scores with a jab. Alexandersson acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Turpin works Alexandersson's body with a nice hook.
Alexandersson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Alexandersson misses with a hook. Turpin ducked under it nicely.
Turpin throws a right and a left that both miss.

Gymer Alexandersson's cut is getting worse.

Turpin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Turpin blocks a head kick by Alexandersson.
Some wild striking there from Alexandersson.
Alexandersson tries a head kick but it misses.
Turpin jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Turpin sizes up Alexandersson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Turpin wants to slow Alexandersson down by chopping away at his legs.
Alexandersson swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Alexandersson misses with a hook.
Alexandersson scores with a sloppy right hand. Turpin should have avoided that one.
Alexandersson walks into a jab.
Alexandersson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Turpin throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Alexandersson takes a swing at Turpin's ribcage but misses.
Alexandersson avoids a kick to the body.
Alexandersson throws a quick counter head kick but Turpin was just out of range.
Turpin misses with a leg kick.
Turpin listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Turpin lands a nice leg kick that just misses Alexandersson's sensitive parts.
Turpin throws a quick inside leg kick.
Alexandersson on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Turpin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Alexandersson to score with a decent uppercut.
Alexandersson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Turpin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Alexandersson scrambles back to his feet.
Alexandersson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Alexandersson can't find room to land a body shot as Turpin controls the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randolph Turpin dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Gymer Alexandersson's cut.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Turpin throws the kick towards the body but Alexandersson avoids it.
Turpin lands a nice hook to Alexandersson's body. Alexandersson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Alexandersson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Turpin throws a quick inside leg kick.
Turpin throws a front kick that sends Alexandersson stumbling back into the cage.
Turpin connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Alexandersson's hands.
Alexandersson takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Alexandersson takes one on the button.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Turpin.
A decent looking cross lands there for Turpin.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Turpin lands a left and a right that send Alexandersson crashing to the mat, dazed. Turpin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Alexandersson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Turpin - the referee stops the clock and Alexandersson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Turpin. Alexandersson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Turpin lands a big right hand that sends Alexandersson crashing to the mat! Turpin stays standing though and waves Alexandersson back to his feet!


Alexandersson is rocked!


Gymer Alexandersson's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Turpin clinches.
Oh Alexandersson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Turpin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Alexandersson misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Alexandersson seems to have got his legs back now.
Turpin misses with a hook to the ribs.

Turpin escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Turpin lands a head shot.
Turpin thows a body kick. Alexandersson tries to catch it but that hurt him.

Turpin feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Alexandersson sprawling to the canvas! Alexandersson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Turpin finish him?!


Jeez, Gymer Alexandersson's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Turpin ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Alexandersson out cold! The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Randolph Turpin! Randolph Turpin retains his super heavyweight title!
